ONECPD ACADEMIES EVENT

The Academies Event 2018, 28th of February, Old Trafford Stadium

| 29th January 2018

Synel proudly sponsors, The Academies Event 2018: The future of state schooling

Join us for The Academies Event 2018 for unique insights into the major developments in the education sector and what the future holds for schools and academies as they plan for the future and strive to deliver a fair and consistent education for all pupils.

ONECPD_LogoLet’s be in no doubt about this – this Government is still on a journey that every school in this country will become an academy, but not by 2022, and not by compulsion.” – Sir David Carter, National Schools Commissioner

The government remains as focused as ever on the conversion of schools to academy status. In March 2017 Theresa May renewed her promise to create a system that is fair and open for all. Similarly, former Education Secretary Justine Greening remains committed to academisation with a new focus towards the improvement of under performing schools.

The imperative is now for school leaders to strengthen leadership of single academies and MATs in order to improve the education standards across the board and drive up attainment levels for all children. From governance to financial management, it is the responsibility of everyone to ensure academies are a success and work for all involved.

By attending the Academies Event 2018 you will have the chance to attain the following learning outcomes:

  • Evaluating the latest policy and expert advice concerning academy conversion, as well as for academies looking to joining a MAT
  • Making sense of the issues affecting academies across the country
  • Strengthening leadership in academies and trusts as a crucial element of success
  • Reflecting upon the qualities leaders need to harness in order to bring meaningful and successful change to their school
  • Exploring what good financial management looks like and the key take-aways from a successful case study
  • Making sense of the funding available for schools and how to maximise its impact
  • Strengthening structures of governance and management: what all academies should know
