What is your role at Synel?
Hardware & Software Support Technician. On a day to day basis I install hardware systems and provide customer support services.
How has Synel helped you in your career development?
I joined Synel as an apprentice and worked my way up developing my skills in the process. Now, I am working as a hardware & support technician.
What advice do you have for prospective Synel candidates?
If you work hard and put efforts into your job, there are ample opportunities to progress within the company.
What are 3 words to describe Synel?
Innovative, pro-active, customer oriented.
What do you find the most challenging at Synel ?
Keeping up to date with the new technology. The evolution taking in place in work, is constant and we must educate and inform ourselves in every opportunity.
What have you gained from working at Synel?
Valuable experience in networking, software development and access control. Also interacting with customers and developing basic managerial skills related to my job.
What is on your wish list for the next years’ with Synel?
To progress within the company and to move up in the team hierarchy. I would like one day to be a Technical Manager for Synel UK.
Where is the best place you’ve travelled to and why?
Scotland, driving through the countryside, the lowlands and highlands. The culture and people were simply amazing, very friendly and open. I had great time trekking and climbing mountains and admiring the breathtaking view from the top.
Where is your favourite place to eat?
I love home cooking so I would say my Family house and my Mom’s cooking. Nothing can beat a traditional Moroccan tagine with beef or lamb and a fragrant couscous with vegetables and caramelised onion!
