Synergy 5 Reader – for applications that require card/fob only
Synergy 5 smartcard reader forms part of the latest generation of data capture devices from Synel. Designed with decades of know how in workforce management solutions, this compact and robust unit is built to last and perform in even the busiest of workplaces
An intuitive user interface makes it easy to navigate and quick to select the desired action such as clocking in or out, registering breaks, and choosing activities; as well as performing employee self-service functions including requesting leave and checking balances
Available with a choice of built-in Mifare, Proximity, HID, or HID iCLASS readers, enrolment can be performed on the device itself or via an optional USB reader that connects to your computer. Once a user is enrolled, their templates can be automatically sent to all other devices on the network allowing any other authorised device to be used. Card management can easily be performed via your chosen workforce management platform, such as Synergy Workforce.
Authentication is performed on the device itself so if network connectivity is lost it will continue to operate as normal and simply upload captured data once connection is restored. What’s more, in the event of a power outage it’s back-up battery will keep the device operational for up to 2.5 hours.
Synergy 5 Reader can be used as part of Synergy Workforce, your complete workforce management solution from Synel, and is also compatible with a growing list of third-party platforms that demand the very best in data capture performance. In addition, with Synel’s Synergy Connect service, integration with new platforms can be achieved simply and quickly.
