The gap in every HR platform

Hourly teams still clock in at a wall.
Somebody has to own the wall.

Scheduling, payroll and engagement live in your software. The moment a customer runs shifts, they ask for a terminal: something on the wall that proves who turned up and when. Building a hardware business to answer that takes years. Partnering with one takes a quarter.

01

Sell it as yours

Your brand on the box, your price list, your invoice. Synel stays in the background. Your customers only ever see you.

02

Plug in, don't build

Synel supplies the integration layer that talks to your API. You host it, you own the data, your product stays your product.

03

Install and support without a field team

Synel installs and commissions every terminal and takes second and third line support, back-to-back with the SLAs you already sell.

Remote device management

Every terminal, on one screen, from anywhere.

Thousands of devices across hundreds of sites is only a problem if you have to visit them. Synel terminals are managed from the centre: health, configuration, firmware and enrolments are all pushed remotely. Most issues are fixed before a customer notices, and nobody books a van.

  • Live fleet view. Every device, every site, online or not, in one list.
  • Remote config and firmware. Change a setting or roll out an update across 2,500 terminals in one push.
  • Enrol once, works everywhere. Templates sync to the devices a person is allowed to use.
  • Diagnose before dispatch. Logs, status and remote restarts cut site visits to the genuine hardware faults.
  • Alerts into your help desk. Your first line sees what we see.

Support everywhere

Your customers open sites.
We're already there.

Synel is a global group: head office in Israel, subsidiaries in the UK, France, Sweden and the USA, and distributors in more than 34 countries. When a partner's customer opens in a new city, the hardware and the engineers are usually local.

  • 34+countries
  • 5group companies
  • 120k+installations worldwide

You

First line

Your help desk, your voice, your ticketing. Customers never learn there is a second company behind the terminal unless you want them to.

Synel

Second and third line

Engineers, remote fixes, advance replacement units and on-site visits where a device genuinely needs hands on it. Back-to-back with the SLAs you sell, so your promise to the customer is our promise to you.

How the partnership works

Four moving parts. We own three of them.

  1. 1

    Integrate

Synel builds and maintains the integration layer against your API. Clock events, schedules and people flow both ways. You host it.

  2. 2

    Sell

You quote, sell and invoice the hardware as part of your platform. Your margin, your terms, your customer relationship.

  3. 3

    Install

Synel ships, installs and commissions on site, in the UK directly and through the group and its distributors elsewhere.

  4. 4

    Support

You take first line. Synel takes second and third, remotely first, on site when needed, with devices managed from the centre throughout.

Partner story

Fourth

15 years. 2,500 terminals.
One partner.

Fourth is the workforce platform behind a large slice of UK hospitality: scheduling, payroll, HR, time and attendance, engagement and inventory for hotels, restaurants, leisure and retail. What it did not have, 15 years ago, was anything on the wall to collect who actually turned up.

Synel filled that gap and never left. The estate started on fingerprint terminals and has moved almost entirely to face recognition, with the same integration layer feeding Fourth's hosted platform throughout. Fourth sells the devices, runs first line support from its own help desk and owns the customer. Synel installs, supports second and third line back-to-back with Fourth's SLAs, and keeps around 2,500 terminals healthy from the centre.

For mobile and multi-site staff, the Synel app clocks people in and out by geolocation and handles time-off requests, so the hardware and the app behave as one product inside Fourth.

“Our customers don't think of the terminal as a separate product, and that's the point. Synel installs it, keeps it running and sits behind our SLAs, so to a hotel or a restaurant it is simply part of Fourth.”
