Synergy 5 Dual – the best of both worlds
Synergy 5 Dual forms part of the latest generation of data capture devices from Synel. This compact and robust unit features dual readers to offer a range of authentication options spanning fingerprint, face, card, and PIN – all built-in to the same device.
An intuitive user interface makes it easy to navigate and quick to select the desired action such as clocking in or out, registering breaks, and choosing activities; as well as performing employee self-service functions including requesting leave and checking balances.
With 25K fingerprint and 20K facial templates on the same device, once a user is enrolled their templates can be automatically sent to all other devices on the network allowing any other authorised device to be used. In addition, a built-in reader enables the use of Mifare, Proximity, HID, and HID iCLASS cards/fobs.
All templates are stored safely and securely as proprietary algorithms. No images are captured and regardless of whether it is fingerprint or facial recognition, the algorithm cannot be used to recreate an image. GDPR compliance is assured.
Authentication is performed on the device itself so if network connectivity is lost it will continue to operate as normal and simply upload captured data once connection is restored. What’s more, in the event of a power outage it’s back-up battery will keep the device operational for up to 2 hours.
Synergy 5 Dual can be used as part of Synergy Workforce, your complete workforce management solution from Synel, and is also compatible with a growing list of third-party platforms that demand the very best in data capture performance. In addition, with Synel’s Synergy Connect service, integration with new platforms can be achieved simply and quickly.
